Mounting Components – Frame Clamps
A Frame Clamp System is made up of two components: an inner piece (which attaches direct to the wheelchair frame) and an outer piece (which locates/attaches to the main part of the mounting bracket). In some cases it is necessary to provide an offset connector or link between these two components to attain optimum positioning.
We supply a wide range of clamping components to suit most makes and models of wheelchair. The most common wheelchair frame size is 7/8” round which requires a UFC875IP frame clamp inner (which is a UFC1000IP with inset sleeves, see below) but different sized round, square and rectangular clamps are available. Some wheelchairs have a dedicated frame clamp specifically designed for that make and model.
Please note, UFC875IP is the default frame clamp supplied with all wheelchair mounts if no alternative is specified on the order. However if you provide details of the make & model of wheelchair with order we will supply the appropriate sized frame clamp. Please do not hesitate to contact us before placing an order if you wish to confirm the details.
